Acoufelt, alongside interior design firm International Design Solutions, designed and supplied custom QuietPrint™ panels for guest rooms at the Novotel Barossa Valley Resort.
As part of the Novotel Barossa Valley’s refurbishment project, over 420 Acoufelt printed panels were supplied and installed across guest rooms to create a feature wall effect, whilst also serving as a means for absorbing excess sound.
Ulli Nitschke at International Design Solutions headed up the task of refitting all guest rooms which overlook the vines of Jacob’s Creek in the Barossa. The brief was for a complete refresh, with new fittings, furniture and finishings that would completely modernise the interiors with a light, clean feel. A subtle integration of highlight colours within the panel print would capture the essences of the Barossa, whilst also complementing the other furnishings of the interior to create a clean, harmonious aesthetic finish.
The interior aesthetic proposed incorporated dusty orange and blush tones, contrasted against white linen and beige walls, and complemented with natural wood finishings. A four by two metre wall print would be the feature piece to tie the interior concept together. The artwork selected was a Eucalyptus pattern with lavender, peach and a lustrous bronze highlights. Ulli, who had partnered with Acoufelt on a number of hospitality projects, knew that Acoufelt could provide them with the requisite print quality, as well as supply the print on an acoustic panel. This could offer the additional benefit of reducing sound transfer between guest rooms.
The close collaboration between Acoufelt, Ulli and the Novotel Barossa during the design, production and delivery stages of this project is evidenced in what all parties see is an excellent aesthetic and acoustic result.
