Acoufelt’s acoustic Fracture panels natural fit for biophilic theme and function of Sydney office suite

Castlereagh Street Suite

Builder Alpha Nobis was engaged by Savills and Charter Hall to deliver a new spec fit out for the 740sm2 office suite for level 18 at 9 Castlereagh Street in Sydney’s CBD.

The versatile space was to be designed to accommodate larger organisations, providing multi-purpose spaces for diverse ways of working across collaboration zones, meeting rooms, and casual break out areas.

The brief was for a modern, spacious design incorporating biophilic elements of natural light and greenery to support a calm and productive workspace. Such elements are seen through the introduction of moss green colours and peach tones in combination with natural textures like felt, wood and tiling finishes.

With function and comfort in mind, Alpha Nobis also wanted to ensure the suite was fitted with proper acoustic treatment, opting for Acoufelt’s acoustic Fracture panels in the subtle ‘Fineline’ bevel design. Panels were installed in meeting rooms to support privacy and confidentiality, as well as in communal spaces such as the breakout seating area, to reduce echo and absorb excess background noise. As a continuation of the biophilic theme, ‘Oregano’ colored Fracture panels pair harmoniously with wooden joinery, as well as match indoor plants and soft furnishings of nearby booths. In meeting rooms, muted ‘Platinum’ colored panels safeguard the soundscape whilst adding a textural dimension.
